Addy pushed the door open and left the library, collecting her bag on the way out.
Her red-brown hair was messed up and her eyes were dark with stress. At least it was Friday - more importantly, the end of school on a Friday. She had the weekend to look forward to now.
As she headed for the gates she bumped into a guy about her age. She cursed under her breath and smiled at him. "Uh... hi... sorry about that." She muttered quickly. She could tell he was a wolf-human just by looking at him.

Tony looked at this girl, he sniffed her. His wolf like characteristics have come out alot at this time. He replied to the girl trying not to be rude "No it's my fault, i wasn't paying attention. Goodbye." Tony walked out the gates and approached a group of people. They turned round to him and started chatting. Then they walked off into a alley.

Addy watched as he went. She wondered if he belonged to a pack? He certainly didn't belong to the Plympton one, as she was the Alpha of it, so was that has own pack there he was chatting with.
She approached him. "Uh... hey no it was my fault. I'm Addy by the way," she held her hand out for him to shake, a small smile on her face.

Tony stood still and looked at the small hand in front of him. He spoke back without shaking the hand. "uhh.. okay, I'm Tony. I really must be getting back with my mates now. He walked away from her once again and caught up with his group.

Addy frowned and nodded before walking away through the gates and down the road to the bus stop. He'd be easy to track - she had his scent in her nostrils and his voice imprinted on her brain. She needed to make more friends, and get more people in her pack. The Plymouth pack were forever growing larger and she was having to hunt when they were not - during the day.
She waited at the bus top. She could still hear him talking with his mates, and smell his scent too. It was great to be wolf.

As Tony walked with his friends he thought to himself."I think that girl is in the Plympton pack, But i am in the Plymouth pack. Could this cause some trouble? I better go home and not think about it"He walked home thinking about lots of other things. He opened his door and threw his bag on the floor and ran upstairs. The rest of the day he spent on his computer talking to people. He finally rested his head on his pillow and fell asleep looking forward to the next day. (NOTE: The text in green is what he is thinking.)

Addy caught her bus, but stopped half way home at the Chaplins roundabout. She walked down the road and over the other roundabout, before heading down the lane that lead up to Dartmoor.
Once she was past the hedges and houses and golf courses, Addy started to run. She had spare clothes in her bag so turning wouldn't be a problem. As the lane opened up to sparse moorland she dropped her bag on a rock and surged forwards, turning into her black wolf. She panted where she stood, her black pelt slightly damp with sweat.
Sheep were carelessly plodding across the road. Addy eyed them up hungrily. She hadn't eaten a good, fresh wolf meal for a while. The sheep saw her and panicked a little, flocking into a ball and panicking. This would be her chance to hunt, now the Plymouth Pack weren't here. She seized the opportunity and ran at the sheep. A car drove by just as she did and she quickly darted behind a bush and hid.
There was no point in trying, she was getting nowhere. The second it got darker, the Plymouth Pack would come and start hunting, as they usually did. It wasn't her fault that their mandatory territory was a hopeless city with no prey.

Tony woke the next morning. Thank god he didn't have school. He wanted to talk to that girl he saw yesterday. He had her scent locked into his mind. She seemed to have been a wolf longer than him. So he wanted to learn some things from her. He walked out his front door and smelled the air. There was so much going on in his nostrils he couldn't concentrate.
Tony just walked around town not doing much. He walked into many shops but walked out straight away. In the end he just walked home and sat on his couch watching television.

Addy had returned home after it started to rain, getting changed into her spare clothes and gathering up her dirty muddy please.
The next morning she went into town to pick up and order she had made. It was there she saw the guy again. She was about to say something but he left the shop. She ran after him, covering her face to shelter from the rain, but he disappeared.
Addy frowned. She caught sight of him walking away and ran after him. She kept her distance but when he turned into a house she plucked the courage to knock on his door. She stood, waiting for him to open up, wondering what she should say to him. Hi, I'd like to chat. Hi, do you want to hang out? Hi, we met in school yesterday. Hi, do you have a problem with shops or something?
She stuffed her christmas present for her mum, a pearl necklace and some earrings - in a set- in her jacket to stop it from getting wet and ruined. Open up for god's sake, I'm getting soaked out here! She hissed in her head.

Tony was watching Balamory he heard his door. He tried ignoring it and hoped the person would go away, but they didn't. So he got up and opened the door. Without seeing who it was he shouted "WHAT! What do you want!" Then he noticed it was the girl he saw yesterday. He was speechless. He opened the door wider. "I'm sorry about that please do come in." He walked back inside and turned the fireplace on. This fireplace produced a nice warm heat. It should dry her off in a couple of minutes. "come in, sit down"

Addy jumped when he opened the door and yelled at her. She growled, until his expression changed. Obviously he recognised her. He let her in and she smiled gratefully, wringing out her hair before stepping inside.
"I saw you in town and followed you. Hope you don't mind. I haven't soon you around here, or at least not with a pack. Are you newly infected or what?" Addy asked, hoping he could keep up with her questions. "I smelt you were wolf so..."
She didn't look him in the eye, and instead looked at the TV. Balamory? She coughed a little, trying not to smile at it - it was something little kids watched, right? "Nice place," she commented on his house as he turned on the fire. The warmth flowed into her and she welcomed in gratefully. She didn't sit down though, she took her shoes off and left them in the porch he had let her in and rubbed her arm, wondering what to say.

Tony wasn't expecting her to find him in town. He tried answering her questions. "I've been infected for 3 months, but sit down and we can talk." He closed the door as she came in. He quickly looked at the T.v and saw what he was watching. He wasn't really watching it he was half asleep. Tony grabbed Addy's hand and pulled her to the couch. "Please Sit, would you like a cup of tea or something?" He walked into the kitchen, and turned to kettle on even if she said no.

Addy nodded as he answered her. "Three months is not very long. But then again I was one of the first to be infected."
As he pulled her by her wrist down onto the couch she resisted the urge stand back up again.
"Coffee please, one sugar," she answered him and stared around the room, taking everything in. "I'm guessing you have no pack, or are with the Plymothians?" Addy called out over the sound of the kettle.
She fiddled with her jacket and took her mum's presents out before taking them into the porch. She set them down on her shoes and went back to sit on the sofa. "Are your parents home, or what?" She asked. His house was very nice, and bigger than hers by far.

He got out 2 mugs and put coffee in one and tea in the other. Tony finished making the drinks and brought them into the lounge. He sat down and handed the coffee over to the girl. "I am in the Plymouth pack but I don't call myself a member since I can't transform, I bet you can though? Well my dad died and my mums in hospital so it's just me here." Tony picked up the t.v remote and turned the t.v off. He sipped his drink then sat it down on the table nearby. He looked at Addy and spoke. "So what form are you in at school?"

Addy gritted her teeth at the mention of him being in the Plymouth pack. Not that she cared which pack she was in, it was just they weren't in her good books.
"Oh, yeah I can transform. I'd say it will only be a year or so before you can transform though. It usually takes that long for the cells to completely grab you," Addy nodded in reply. At the mention of his dad dead and mum in hospital her stomach churned.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. I didn't know," she mumbled. "I'm in form D, but going into sixth form next year so go us!" Addy grinned and sipped at her coffee. She burnt her tongue but didn't say anything.

Tony noticed she looked angry as he said he was in the Plymouth pack. He didn't want to be in it but he was forced into it. "Yeah, I'm in B, Going into six form too. So we must be about the same age. Anyway did you want something? You must have followed me for a reason. Tony looked away. He then heard his dog barking, Tony forgot he left him outside. "sorry" He stood up and opened the door. A large German Shepherd walked in with it's tail wagging. Tony then opened a can of dog food and put it in a bowl. He gave the dog the food. "That's my dog John by the way. I love animals but mainly dogs." Tony walked back and sat down.

Addy smiled at him, epsecially when he let the dog in. "Yeah, I guess we are the same age. I'm sixteen," Addy explained and finished her coffee.
"Thanks for the coffee. And uh... I dunno you looked like you were looking for something... or whatever," Addy muttered. "It was probably my mistake."
Addy stood up. "Well it's stopped raining, I should probably get going now." She smiled at Tony, and rubbed her arm, trying to think of what to say. "Um... seeya in school I guess?" She said.

Tony didn't know what to say. At this moment he felt shy. He didn't want to admit that he kinda liked her. Umm... uhh... Yeah... See ya in school. He opened the door. Goodbye then. Close the door behind you. Tony ran upstairs, leaving Addy standing downstairs.

Addy nodded. "Yeah um... well seeya." She put on her shoes and gathered up her presents before stepping outside, closing the door behind her.
She glanced up at the house as she walked away, and managed to catch a bus for the rest of the journey, not bothering to walk.
Once home, Addy emailed him through his school address:
Hey, it's Addy Forest, you know, leader of the Plympton pack?
I was wondering if you wanted to meet up some time.
Cya, Addy.
She sent the email then went about doing her homework. It would soon be the christmas holidays. Once she finished her homework she hid her mum's presents. Her mum was out tonight, and wouldn't be back until much later. She loaded up her emails again, just to see if he'd replied.

Tony clicked his emails and one popped up from Addy. He read it and quickly replied. "Hi, umm... Sure i suppose we could hang out. Could i have a time and place?" After sending the reply he returned to what he was originally doing on his computer.
